Steel Plate

Steel Searcher steel plate is a flat steel that is cast with molten steel and pressed after cooling.

It is flat, rectangular and can be directly rolled or cut from wide steel strips. The steel plate is divided according to the thickness, the thin steel plate is less than 4 mm (the thinnest is 0.2 mm), the medium-thick steel plate is 4-60 mm, and the extra-thick steel plate is 60-115 mm.

Types of Steel Plate

Steel Plate
Carbon High Strength Low Alloy (HLSA) Steel Plate
Steel searcher Carbon High Strength Low Alloy(HLSA) steel plate refers to alloy steel with less than 5% of total alloying elements. Low alloy steel is relative to carbon steel.
Ship/Marine Steel Plate
Steel Searcher Marine/Ship Steel plate Contains chemical elements that resist corrosion, reduce brittleness (especially at low temperatures), and increase strength and toughness against vibration.
Abrasion Resistant Steel Plate
Steel Searcher Abrasion resistant steel plate is a high-carbon alloy steel designed specifically to have greater hardness properties than low-carbon steel.
Pressure Vessel Steel Plate
Steel Searcher Pressure vessel steel plate is used for the production of pressure vessels.

Advantages of STEEL SEARCHER Steel Plate

High Strength

generally its yield strength is above 300MPa.

High Toughness

the elongation is required to be 15% to 20%, and the impact toughness at room temperature is greater than 600kJ/m to 800kJ/m. For large welded components, high fracture toughness is also required.

Good welding performance and cold forming performance.

Low Cold

Low cold-brittle transition temperature.

Corrosion Resistance

Good corrosion resistance.

Low Carbon

Due to the high requirements for toughness, weldability and cold formability, the carbon content does not exceed 0.20%.

Manganese-based Alloying Elements

Add manganese-based alloying elements.

Adding Auxiliary Elements Such As Niobium, Titanium or Vanadium

A small amount of niobium, titanium or vanadium forms fine carbides or carbonitrides in steel, which is beneficial to obtain fine ferrite grains and improve the strength and toughness of steel.
