Classification and Characteristics of Stainless Square Steel Pipe

Classification of stainless steel square steel pipe

Stainless steel square steel pipe can be divided into two categories: seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes (with seams). They can also be further classified into square and steel rectangular pipe based on cross-sectional shape. Stainless steel square steel pipe is mainly used in the industrial and construction industries. In industry, it is mainly used for the transportation of substances such as oil, natural gas, water, coal gas, and steam.

During the processing and manufacturing of stainless steel square steel pipe, they are further processed according to the actual needs of users in order to enhance their aesthetic appeal and anti-corrosion capabilities, ensuring long-term use. To transport special products, square steel pipe for sale must be able to complete all activities safely and effectively. When making other parts, they should also take advantage of their own strengths to reduce product failures and improve safety performance.

Characteristics of stainless steel square steel pipe

  • Ductility: Ductility refers to the ability of a metal material to undergo plastic deformation under load without breaking.

  • Hardness: Hardness is a measure of the degree of softness or hardness of a metal material. Currently, the most commonly used method for determining hardness in production is the indentation hardness method, which uses a press head of a certain geometric shape to press into the surface of the metal material to be tested under a certain load, thereby determining its hardness value based on the degree of indentation.

  • Impact resistance: The ability of metal to resist destruction under the action of a load that acts at a very high speed on a component is called impact resistance.

  • Strength: Strength refers to the ability of a metal material to resist failure (excessive plastic deformation or rupture) under static loads. Because the mode of action of the load includes tension, compression, bending, shearing, etc., strength is also divided into tensile strength, compressive strength, bending strength, and shear strength. Various strengths are often related to each other. In use, tensile strength is generally used as the ultimate strength indicator.

  • Fatigue: The strength, ductility, and hardness discussed earlier are all indicators of the mechanical properties of metals under static loads. In reality, many machine parts work under cyclic loads, and under such conditions, parts will experience fatigue.

In the production process of stainless steel square steel pipe, the pressure and cutting will produce burrs on the pipe body and nozzle. In addition to gravity, other excess metals and oxides will also indent along the axis of the steel pipe wholesale, forming internal burrs. The cutting method uses a rotating cutting head with a fixed cutting blade or cutting tube to cut off the burrs.
